SKIN NEEDLING POST CARE

DAY 1-3 WHAT TO EXPECT
Following your skin needling treatment, your skin may feel tender and warm to touch, like a mild sunburn sensation. This is perfectly normal and should subside by the following day. You can also expect to experience some redness and slight swelling around the areas that have been treated. This should last no longer than 2-3 days.

DAY 4-6 WHAT TO EXPECT
4-6 days after your skin needling treatment, you may notice that your skin becomes a little rough, dry and flaky as a result of increased skin cellular turnover. Other side effects such as bumps and breakouts can also be experienced after skin needling, but not everyone will experience this.

AVOID: Anything that can make the skin feel hot, such as hot steamy showers, spa baths, saunas, and vigorous exercises, for 1-2 days. Avoid the application of makeup in the first 24 hours after treatment.

RECOMMENDED: Apply a cool compress to the treated area such as a cold face washer to alleviate any discomfort and or swelling. A minimum of SPF 30+ worn every day. We recommend O Cosmedics sunscreen that we sell online and in clinic. Apply gentle skincare products only, avoiding products containing irritants (e.g. vitamin A, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid) for 5-7 days after treatment or until skin returns to its usual appearance.
